We hope to see you soon at one or all of the following events!
COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER
Sunday November 22, 2020
Join us on Sunday November 22 anytime between 4 and 6 pm for our 11th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner! All are welcome and the dinner is free and open to the public. Bring your family and friends to enjoy delicious home-cooked fare with our neighbors! There will be a drawing for Thanksgiving dinner baskets, generously donated by local families and businesses. If you would like to sponsor a basket, please contact us before October. If you are able, please bring a can of corn or green beans which will support the work of King's Community Outreach on the south side. Canned goods, as well as "community input cards" will be redeemable for entry in the drawing, so please come ready to share your insights and input on how we can make our community a better place TOGETHER.
FAMILY HEALTH RESOURCE FAIRS

NEXT DATE: MARCH 2020

Our last event was held on November 9th, 2019 and we had a great turnout of over 100, with multiple health agencies sharing resources. Thank you to Walgreens for providing flu shots, to our volunteer nurses who checked blood pressure and sugar, and to the following organizations for partnering with us:
Amani Family Services
Mental Health America
Parkview Health Community Health Workers
Matthew 25 Clinic
March 2020 Date and organizations are yet to be determined.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Donate a package of diapers in any size, or host a diaper drive at your church or workplace! Contact us for publicity information and to coordinate a day for drop off.

We offer these free healthy cooking classes to the community at different points throughout the year.
Email us at if you would like to find out about our next round of classes! These classes, hosted with funding and materials from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation and Parkview Health are a great way to start cooking more creatively and healthily this year.

For students in grades 2-8
Whether it's math, reading, spelling, or Spanish, our volunteers are prepared to help students with a variety of homework. Specialized, one-on-one help is available. We also offer snacks and a brief Christ-centered devotion. When students finish their homework, we also play games or do fun group learning activities. Students are welcome to sign up and come, even if they don't need specific tutoring. Contact us to sign up your student!
